Documentation of Medical Emergency: <br />The following documentation will need to be completed either by the responding .jail detention <br />officer and/or other detention officers involved in the medical emergency situation: <br />A An official "Incident Report" detailing the circumstances surrounding the event <br />and any action taken by the detention officer and by the responding EMS or medical <br />professional to treat the inmates mote: the fail supervisor on duty shall be responsible <br />for obtaining a written report from EMS before they leave our facility or before the <br />end of the shift. <br />B. A "Prisoner Medical Report Farm" (see Attachment #1) to summazize the inmates <br />medical problems and document any action taken by the detention officer to provide <br />assistance; and, <br />C. A record of the "Prisoners Medical Report Form" shall also be made on the <br />Medical Log located in the Control Roam by the Control Room detention Officer. <br />Copies of both forms will be provided to the .Jail Administrator and the Sheriff for review <br />and an incident report will be filed in the inmate's confurement record, A copy of the <br />prisoners medical report form will be filed in the inmates medical records in the medical <br />room at the jail. <br />4 Maintenance of First Aid Kits: <br />A. A first aid kit will be located in both Control Rooms and will be available for use <br />by all jail detention officers at all times Replacement supplies for the kit will be <br />maintained at the facility. <br />B. Facility medical personnel will be responsible for periodically inspecting the <br />contents of the first aid kit to ensure that all supplies are available.. Facility medical staff <br />should advise the on duty detention supervisor any time that supplies need to be replaced. <br />It will be the responsibility of the on duty supervisor to obtain any needed replacement <br />supplies for the first aid kit from the stock of supplies located at the facility. <br />C. Jail detention officers shall advise the detention on duty supervisor any time they <br />utilize supplies from the first aid kit. The on duty detention supervisor shall be <br />responsible for replacing any needed supplies in the first aid kit. <br />
