POLICY 4.03, "MEDICAL COMPLAINTS AND REFERRALS" " <br />PAGE 3 OF 3 <br />6. Once an inmate has been seen by our contracted medical professional staff, it will be the <br />Medical Professional's duty to ensure that the Medical Report L,og is updated and that the <br />following information is recorded in the Medical Report Log: <br />A. Date and time inmate was seen by health care staff; <br />B. Physician or health care professional that examined the inmate; and, <br />C. Any medications required to be given to the inmate or special instruction that we <br />are required to be observant for and monitor. <br />7. It shall be the duty and responsibility of the ,jail detention contracted medical care <br />professional to RETURN THE INMATES completed "Prisoner Medical Report Form" to the <br />Facility Medical Room and file the completed "Prisoner Medical Report Form" in the <br />appropriate inmate's medical record file.. This is absolutely necessary to insure our records are <br />complete and properly filed. Once a diagnosis has been made and recorded on the form, the <br />"Prisoner Medical Report Form" becomes a confidential record.. <br />8, Orange County Detention contracted medical professional shall provide detention <br />officers responsible for administering medications to inmates all information needed which <br />pertain to any prescription or non-prescription medications that an inmate may need to take as a <br />result of their diagnosis of the uunate (see, Orange County Jail Policy 4.09, "Administration and <br />Control of Medications," for more detailed information). <br />9 All inmates will be informed of how they can request or make a medical <br />request/complaint during the admission process.
