Program Activity Nam, Audio Immersion High School Mentorship Program <br /> • Fusion Youth Radio <br /> • "Telling Your Story and Making It Stick — A Collective Interview <br /> Pro'ect worksho)series within schools <br /> Program Goal 75% of audio immersion participants will show measurable increase of <br /> civic media skills and confidence in their voices after completion of their <br /> workshop sessions <br /> Performance Measures • Intake and exit surveys that target civic participation, confidence, <br /> media, and literacy skills to provide a comparative baseline of our <br /> program's effectiveness <br /> O Supplemental surveys at various checkpoints throughout the workshop <br /> timeline to assess the mastery of a specific skill <br /> • Mentors provide copious opportunities for student feedback on <br /> curricula and program development so that the program is tailored for <br /> student success <br /> Previous Year Program Results • While 24 total youth were trained in FYR during 2015-2016, 13 <br /> reported an increase in confidence and engagement(54.2%) <br /> Please note:We believe the value representing the progress of our 2015- <br /> 2016 FYR participants was impacted by participatory attrition, in year's <br /> past, the vision of FYR has been an afterschoot program that met twice a <br /> week for students to develop their own radio broadcasts. During <br /> implementation, we ultimately found difficulty retaining students due to <br /> afterschool priorities conflicting with our afterschool FYR sequence, To <br /> buffer against this, we have now catalyzed an in-school version of our <br /> audio immersion program that we are piloting with Phoenix Academy this <br /> PROGRAM INFORMATION 1/31/2017 10:50:57 AM <br />
