We use "heat maps" provided by the school district to identify meal <br /> sites that are walkable for identified populations. <br /> We do outreach through school social workers, community partners (IFC, PORCH, TABLE), <br /> and through the town's Housing & Human Services communication channels. We display <br /> posters in healthcare clinics and public places throughout Chapel Hill & Carrboro and send <br /> home flyers, translated in numerous languages, in children's backpacks as well as in <br /> PORCH donation bags. <br /> t) Describe the credentials of the program manager and other key staff. (Ex. Identify <br /> Program Manager and credentials, describe training provided to volunteers, etc.) <br /> Menu planning and food preparation are overseen by Liz Cartano, Director of Dining for <br /> Chapel Hill- Carrboro City Schools; <br /> Program Director: We are in the process of hiring a summer-time program director. Last <br /> year's director, Katie Hug, had a Masters in Social Work. Candidates for the position tend <br /> to have their MSW or experience in education (teachers or teachers' aides); <br /> Site Coordinators: We are in the process of hiring this year's Site Coordinators. <br /> Candidates are, typically, undergraduate and graduate students at UNC. <br /> The Program Director and Site Coordinators will undergo extensive training with former <br /> Program Director, Katie Hug.
