Abstract: NC Highway 57 Speedway Area Small Area Plan <br />Attachment Three (3) -Proposed Process and Schedule of events: <br />Key Dates: Proposed Activity: Product: <br />June 27, 2006 Community Outreach Meeting: 1, Development of an <br /> initial listing of <br /> First Community Outreach meting to discuss development <br /> the development of the Highway 57 Speedway constraints and <br /> Area Small Area Plan, opportunities within the <br /> Staff shall solicit discussion among local area, <br /> property owners about the constraints and <br />Identification of <br />2 <br /> opportunities for additional nonresidential .. <br /> development within the area, desirable uses based <br /> on existing commercial <br /> An Ad-Hoc steering committee for the project and residential <br /> shall be established to include a maximum of: development.. <br /> 1, Three (3) residential property owners, <br /> 3. Formation of Ad-Hoc <br /> 2, Three (3) commercial property owners, committee to assist <br /> 3, One (1) County Board of Commissioner with directing the <br /> to serve as the Commissioner liaison, completion of the NC <br /> 4. One (1) Planning Board member, Highway 57 Speedway <br /> Area Small Area Plan <br /> 5. One (1) Economic Development <br /> Commission member, and 4. Establishing a formal <br /> 6, One (1) representative from the Person meeting schedule for <br /> and Durham County Planning additional community <br /> Departments. outreach meetings <br /> At this meeting, the proposed schedule for <br /> future meetings will be reviewed and <br /> discussed. <br /> Staff shall inform all present that additional <br /> notices shall be mailed to local residents to <br /> ensure neighborhood participation with the <br /> formation of the Highway 57 Speedway Area <br /> Small Area Plan. <br />
