Opening Comments - CHAIR JACOBS <br />PUBLIC CHARGE <br />The Board of Commissioners pledges to the citizens of Orange County its respect. <br />The Board asks its citizens to condacct themselves in a respectful, courteous <br />manner, both with tlae Board crud with fellow citizens. At any time should any <br />member of the Board or any citizen fail to observe this public charge, the Chair <br />will crsk t1~e offending person to leave the meeting until that individual regains <br />personal control..s'hould decorum fail to be r°estored, the Chair ~~ill recess the <br />meeting until such time that a genuine commitment to this public charge is <br />observed. All electronic devices such as cell phones, pagers, and computers should <br />please be turned off or set to silent~vibrate. <br />(7:35-8:00} 2. Public Hearing* <br />*At Public Hearings, Commissioners traditionally do not comment in order to <br />allow citizens to have the maximum time to express opinions. Speakers may only <br />sign up for themselves. The maximum speaking time allotted will be 3- <br />minuteslperspeaker. <br />*Speakers are encouraged to leave written comments (if available} with the Clerk. <br />PROCEDURES FOR PUBLIC HEARING: <br />We are glad to have this opportunity to hear from the citizens of grange County on the <br />Manager's Recommended FY 2006-07 Budget and we hope that as many as possible <br />will be able to speak within the time allotted. <br />• Courtroom will not be available to the general public until 6:15 p.m. <br />• The Public Comment Sign Up will begin at 6:15 p.m. <br />• The Sign up area will have sign-up sheets-numbered numerically {please print <br />legibly) <br />• Sign up sheets and comments will become public records. <br />• Speakers may only sign-up for themselves, to insure speakers are present. <br />• The maximum speaking time allotted will be 3-minutes/per speaker. <br />Thank you. <br />
