7 I. Introduction In October 2003, the Agricultural Preservation Board unanimously passed a recommendation to revisit the agricultural center concept. The recommendation was forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), In December 2004, the BOCC agreed to create a work group, with the charge and mission outlined below. A. 2005 Ag Center Work Group Charge & Mission 1. Investigate and explore the potential need and uses for an Orange County Agricultural Center, utilizing new information and current/future agricultural needs. 2, Develop a process whereby all stakeholders have an opportunity to provide meaningful input intc the Work Group deliberations. 3. Develop a report on the findings of the Work Group discussion and investigation, to be submitted to the Board of Commissioners within ane year of appointment of the Work Group, 4. Review the recommendations of the previous Agricultural Center work group. B.
