Tour and Meeting at 5pence's Community Educational Farm, Inc. <br />Spence Dickinson offered his farm as a meeting destination and provided an <br />informal tour of Spence's Community Educational Farm. Members had an <br />opportunity to view a possible model for teaching youth about agriculture and food <br />production. Dinner was graciously provided to Work Group members in the <br />restored historic farmhouse. <br />D. Outreach <br />1. Ag Center Work Group Survey <br />A survey was developed to fulfill Guiding Principle #3 of the BOCC charge to the 2005 <br />Ag Center Work Grotap that directed the work group to use "broad public outreach <br />efforts to engage all citizens interested in this topic and ensure that all interests and <br />stakeholders have the opportunity to be heard "(Appendix 8). <br />There were 58 respondents to the survey, with good diversity based on self identified <br />categories of crop, livestock, crop-livestock, gardener, & consumer (Figure 2). <br />Respondents self-identified category <br />(n=56) <br />All <br />Gardener Crop <br />Consumer si <br />~:?
