Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> The Board adopted a resolution, which is incorporated by reference, to release property tax <br /> values for six taxpayers with a total of six bills that will result in a reduction of revenue in <br /> accordance with North Carolina General Statute 105-381. <br /> d. Applications for Property Tax Exemption/Exclusion <br /> The Board approved six untimely applications for exemption/exclusion from ad valorem <br /> taxation for six bills for the 2017 tax year. <br /> e. Resolution in Support of a One Percent (1%) Cost-of-living Adjustment for the Local <br /> Government Employees Retirement System (LGERS) <br /> The Board adopted a resolution, which is incorporated by reference, encouraging the Board of <br /> Trustees of the North Carolina Local Government Employees Retirement System (LGERS) to <br /> approve a one percent (1%) cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for LGERS members effective <br /> July 1, 2018 and authorized the Chair to sign. <br /> f. Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) Amendment Outline and Schedule — Revisions <br /> to Public Hearing Process <br /> The Board approved process components and schedule for government initiated amendments <br /> to the Unified Development Ordinance regarding revisions to the public hearing process. <br /> g.
