Matthew Vizithum, the <br />optomehist representative on the Boazd will be completing his fast term on <br />.Tune .3Q 2006 and is eligible and willing to be reappointed for a second term. <br />Sharon Freeland is completing a partial term of service on .Tune 34, 2006 and is <br />willing and eligible to be reappointed to her first full term of service.. She <br />serves in an at-large position. Attendance records are attached, <br />In addition, Dr. Alice White is completing her second term of service on June <br />30, 2006 as at at-lazge representative on the Boazd and is not eligible for re- <br />appointment according tD the Bcard of Commissioners rules. Her expertise as <br />an epidemiologist has been very valuable to the Board. The Boazd cazefully <br />considered all current applicants that qualify for the at-lazge position and are <br />recommending for your consideration Dr. Anissa Vines for appointment to the <br />Boazd of Health, Dr. Vines is an epidemiologist working on health disparity <br />issues. She is African-American and resides in northern Orange County, Her <br />skills as an epidemiologist will be an important resource to the Board and the <br />Department in its work to reduce disparities, in outbreak investigations, and in <br />preparing the required community assessment. <br />Thank you for your consideration of this applicant and the reappointment of <br />current Board members, <br />C_c: Donna Baker <br />Rosemary Summers <br />
