Orange County, North Carolina <br />r° Proposal - Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice <br />Consultant will make every effort to provide a complete economic profile of the <br />community, especially the protected classes for this Analysis <br />o Data for this section will be developed from the 1990 Census, community surveys, <br />Housing Assistance Plans, Consolidated Plan, FFIEC HMDA Reports, Peertrax LAIR <br />Program and Maptitude 4.5 <br />3. EMPLOYMENT AND TRANSPORTATION PROFILE <br />o Listing of major employers by type and the number of people employed within the <br />jurisdiction by salary and racial groups. Identification of growth trends will be <br />included. <br />o Listing of major forms of transportation and identification of access to job centers in <br />the community. <br />4. IDENTIFICATION OF SPECIFIC IMPEDIMENTS TO FAIR HOUSING CHOICE <br />o A complete analysis will be made of the impediments to fair housing choice in the <br />following areas: <br />Sale and rental of housing <br />Provisions of brokerage services <br />Provision of financing assistance for housing <br />Provisions of homeowners insurance <br />Public policies and actions affecting fair housing <br />Administrative policies regarding CDBG and housing activities and their <br />relationship to fair housing and possible discriminatory practices, <br />Assistance in correcting past or present discriminatory practices by <br />developing an action plan for correction. Included in this process will be local <br />fair housing advocates and other groups with specific expertise in the area <br />that the discriminatory practice was determined. <br />
