They take blood <br /> pressure and recommend tips to the community on care. <br /> • UNC Chapel Hill: We work with the school to integrate students into the <br /> volunteer program of the organization and help develop their abilities. In <br /> February, we will be staring a new collaboration with UNC Eshelman School <br /> Pharmacy students and their supervisor associated with SHAC (Student Health <br /> Action Coalition) to promote healthy lifestyle changes in the hopes of reducing <br /> the risk of high blood pressure among the participants. They will take patients' <br /> blood pressures, counsel about the results, and provide lifestyle modification tips <br /> by text. <br /> • OWASA to develop a video and new brochure for the Latino community. They <br /> receive some referrals from ECH and tend to some particular cases from ECH. <br /> • Lawyers: Volunteer lawyers provide free legal services on immigration, civil, <br /> family and support child and traffic cased to the community. <br /> • NC Diaper Bank: They provide diapers as donation for the community and we <br /> distribute to them directly <br /> • Table: We partner with them to receive food. Bags are provided to our kids and <br /> parents in the tutoring's program every week. We work together to educate kids <br /> and parents in health and nutrition. Also, Hispanic kids have workshops on <br /> nutrition two or three times per month. <br /> • Court of Chapel Hill: ECH collaborates with the courts to receive referrals of <br /> people who need to complete their community service hours. <br /> • Family Successful: Accepts referrals for specific support services cases to help <br /> families and their kids. <br /> • Orange County Department of Housing, Human Rights, & Community <br /> Development: Partner to provide workshops on housing rights. We refer to the <br /> Community Specialist when we receive some cases through our community <br /> support services and follow its progress. <br /> • Orange County Health Department: Partner to provide some talks in our office. <br /> We also assist in helping them to get to know the needs of the community in <br /> Orange County and create a space where they can express their thoughts <br /> directly with them. <br /> • Cooperativa Latina: We refer for banking services and they assist with <br /> notarizations and other banking related services <br /> • Orange ABC- ECH is a partner to provide alcohol and substance abuse <br /> prevention education and outreach. Orange ABC provide support to acquire <br /> educational materials and train staff. <br /> • Orange County Arts Commission: Last year was the first year the Arts <br /> Commission provided support to local Latino artists participating in the festival <br /> PROGRAM INFORMATION 1/31/2017 3:16:25 PM Page 10 of 32 <br />
