3 <br /> Public Transportation provides opportunity for access to jobs and services to many individuals. <br /> The CTP Administrative and Capital Grant provides Orange County access to funds to support <br /> its rural transportation infrastructure that promotes economic self-sufficiency to a wide range of <br /> residents and locations. The funds additionally support a system that enhances the access of <br /> residents in the non-urbanized areas to health care, shopping, education, employment, public <br /> services, and recreation. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board: <br /> 1. Conduct the public hearing to receive public comments on the proposed grant <br /> application; <br /> 2. Close the public hearing; <br /> 3. Approve the Community Transportation Program Grant application for FY 2019 in <br /> the total amount of $479,069 with a local match total of $56,719 to be provided <br /> when necessary; <br /> 4. Authorize the Chair to sign the Community Transportation Program Resolution and <br /> the Local Share Certification for Funding form; and <br /> 5. Authorize the Chair and the County Attorney to review and sign the annual <br /> Certifications and Assurances document in Attachment 2. <br />
