CCFH will prepare a presentation to describe behavioral impacts <br /> of early childhood trauma, address the impact of trauma on a community, ways to address the prevalence of <br /> trauma throughout the community, and proposing tools for preventing trauma.The trainers will highlight <br /> ways to implement those tools and provide consultation to teams in order for those practices to be sustained. <br /> In recognition of the importance of having a trauma-informed community and serving clients struggling with <br /> the impact of trauma, the following activity will be developed and conducted: <br /> TRAINING ACTIVITIES <br /> Activity One: Face-to-Face Training Days <br /> Two CCFH trainers will provide two full days of training with Orange County Partnership to End Homelessness <br /> service providers on becoming trauma informed. Following the full day trainings, the two CFFH trainers will <br /> meet with a smaller cohort of participants to address implementation of the tools and skills discussed during <br /> the initial training days. The full days will focus on the impact of trauma on individuals throughout their <br /> lifetime, the impact it has on the community as a whole, recognition of symptoms of trauma, and solutions for <br /> addressing trauma. The half day will allow for deeper discussion, brainstorming, and exploring implementation <br /> strategies. <br /> 2.5 in-person training days <br /> 1 full-day training offered on 2 different days within 2-3 weeks of one another <br /> 1 half-day training follow-up with agency teams <br /> Activity Two: Consultation Calls <br /> Up to four hours of group consultation calls will be scheduled with participants involved in the half day <br /> training. These calls will allow for reflection on and problem solving challenges impacting implementation of <br /> trauma informed care. <br /> Up to 4 hours of follow up group consultation calls for a group of approximately 60. <br />
