2. Sick Leave Records To Ae 1Aainteined. It shall be the resnonsibili ty <br />o' sac n v! ua epartman ea , on and after October 1, 1955. to <br />insure that sick leave records shall be established and maintained <br />on esch lndi vidusl full-time employe a, and that such records shall be <br />established and maintained on each new employee from the date of <br />employment. The Department Head must indicate to the County Accountaa <br />for payroll purposed by the 25th of each month, the amount of sick <br />leave each emnl oy ee has taken during the month, <br />3. Ea rnina Sick Leave Credits. Beginning October 1, 1955. employees shat: <br />be credited, on their individual slat leave records, with one day of <br />sick leave Tor each month of full-time employment, <br />4. Sick Leave Ss Cumulative. An employee's unused sick leave shall <br />accumulate to his credit troy ,veer to year. Th are shall be m <br />maximum amount of sick leave that an employee m¢y accumulate. <br />5. Sick Leave Sn Excess of Accrued Leave, When en employee's sick leave, <br />due to long-term illness, s exhausted, he shall then automatically <br />ezheust his remaining vacation leave. <br />6, Definition of Sick Leave, Leave from work with nay may be charged <br />as sick ea ve if the sbsence is due to sickness, bodily injury, <br />quarantine, required physical or dental ezaminati ens or treatment, <br />exposure to contagi pus disease :vh en con tlnued work might jeopardize <br />the health of others, illness Ln the employee's fsmily which requires <br />the care of the employee, or the funeral of a member of the employee's <br />family, All such absences with nay shall be charged against the <br />sick leave credit of the employee. <br />7, Rolidnvs and Devs Otf. Employees on sick leave durin¢ holidays or <br />regular y schedu a days off shall not be charged with sick leave <br />for such holidays or days off. <br />8, Pays ician's Certificat o. An employee may be required by his <br />Denertr•,ent Head to furnish a physic lap's certificate for sick leave <br />ebs enc es in ezc ass of three consecutive work days. <br />9. Senarat ed Employees Lose Sick LeaveCredi t. Employees who resign or <br />retire, or ere dismissed from County employment, shall not be paid <br />for any accrued sick lases and shell lose all accrued sick leave credit <br />Civil Leave, A County employee who is called for jury duty or as a witness <br />'or the Federal or State governments, or a subdivision thereof, shall be entitle <br />o leave rri th pay far such duty during the required absence. On the top of page forty four et Part III Strike out the words <br />"Conditions of Employment" and insert in their place the word 'Appointment". <br />2. In the middle of page forty four under Part ZV Section A sub-head <br />l-~ line number three strike out com,vencing vri th the words "Fa rn Agents" and <br />ontinuing through the ;vo rds "Home Demons tretlon Age its Off is as." <br />3.
