The County <br />Commissioners have also asked the Planning Board far their suggestions on an <br />approach/process for updating the overall Comprehensive Plan. <br />Purpose: To provide a brief update on the progress of the Planning Board in <br />carrying out the BOCC directive. <br />2. Update on Rural Enterprises Project (Agricultural Support Enterprises) <br />Planning and Economic Development staff will present draft text amendments to <br />allow for changes to the Orange County Zoning Atlas through a new conditional <br />district rezoning process, Unlike general rezoning, property subject to the <br />conditional district rezoning process may be used only far a specific land use(s), <br />based on asite-specific development plan, This new mechanism would be used <br />to rezone properties for agriculturally related businesses as an extension of the <br />existing Agricultural Services floating zoning district. <br />Purpose: To present draft amendments as an informational item, answer <br />questions, and receive direction from the Board on haw to proceed since this is a <br />new planning constnact for Orange County, A formal version of these <br />amendments will be considered at a future public hearing to ensure opportunities <br />for public comment, <br />3. Update on Transfer of Development Rights (TDR) Feasibility Study <br />The BOCC will review the issues and concerns raised during the Transfer of <br />Development Rights (TDR) Feasibility Study and consider the TDR Task Force <br />recommendations on whether to proceed with the completion of the study. <br />Pur ose: To provide an update on the progress of the TDR Feasibility Study and <br />receive direction from the Board on how to proceed. <br />Changes may be made in the advertised proposals that reflect debate, objections <br />and discussion at the hearing. <br />Accommodations for individuals with physical disabilities can be provided if the <br />request is made to the Director of Planning at least 48 hours prior to the Public <br />Hearing by calling the appropriate number listed below.
