The following lists <br /> the primary collaborative efforts. <br /> • Burwell School: Last Fridays, shared events, co-marketing and fundraising <br /> • St. Matthews Episcopal Church: Shared events, co-marketing and fundraising <br /> • Orange County Public Library: Handmade Parade and Lantern Walk Workshops, shared <br /> events and co-marketing. <br /> • Orange County Historical Museum: Last Fridays, Free Spirit Freedom, ArtCycle donated <br /> materials for Fairview's Art in the Park, additional shared events and co-marketing <br /> • Orange County Community Players: Ad hoc committee to seek out a performance and <br /> classroom space in Hillsborough. <br /> • Orange County Schools: <br /> ➢ Student Art Show: shared events and co-marketing <br /> ➢ ARTCYCLE collection: material sharing and co-marketing for Orange County <br /> Schools <br /> ➢ Cultural Explosion, Orange County Schools: a school program in which HAC <br /> staffs a booth <br /> ➢ Year End Senior Art Show: a collaboration with the Library and Chamber of <br /> Commerce <br /> ➢ Youth Collaborative Weekend: artists and students working together <br /> ➢ After School Programming: Arts programming funded by a Mary Duke Biddle <br /> Grant, collaborating with Family Success Alliance <br /> ➢ Artists as Speakers: (informal but ongoing), exploring what it takes to be a working <br /> artist in the real world <br /> ➢ Student volunteering in the HAC to fulfill community involvement requirements. <br /> • Town of Hillsborough: Selection of the town Poet Laurate, event contract to produce and <br /> develop Last Fridays, co-marketing <br /> • Orange County Visitors Center: Arts & Craft Show, shared events and co-marketing <br /> • Alliance for Historical Hillsborough-The HAC is a partner in the Alliance. <br /> Program Description (3 pages OR LESS) <br /> Please provide the following information about the proposed program: <br /> d) Summarize the program services proposed and how the program will address the chosen <br /> County priority. <br /> The programming by the HAC expanded and become more efficient once we hired a part-time <br /> Program Coordinator in 2015. Her focus on the logistical support of our volunteers also freed up the <br /> HAC Board to focus on strategic planning that will ensure the long-term sustainability of our work. <br /> We ask that Orange County continue its support of that position because of the multiplier effect it <br /> generates.
