<br />The Board of Commisaionere for the County of Orange, North Carolina, met
<br />adJourned regular session at the County Courthouse in Hillsboro, the regular
<br />ce of meeting at 10 o'clock, A.M„ on September 14, 1955.
<br />Prea ant: Chairman R. J. M. Aobba, and Commisa ionera Edwin S. Lanier,
<br />tA, Ray and Henry S, 'Aalker.
<br />Absent: Commis sionar Sim L. Efland.
<br />The Chairman announced that this was the date and hour Sized b9 the Board
<br />the public hearl ng upon the order entitled:
<br />"ORDER AIITAOAIZZ NG ~3y., 000 SCAOOL BUILDING BONDS" and that the Hoard
<br />ld immediately hear any and all citizens and tazpay era who might desire to
<br />test against the Ssauance of said bonds.
<br />No citizen or taxpayer of the County nppeered, either in person or by
<br />orney, to protest against the issuance of any of said bonds, and the Clerk
<br />Danced that no protest Sn writing, signed by any citizen or taxpayer, had
<br />n presented.
<br />Thereupon, upon motl on of Commissioner Aenry S. Yfalker, seconded b9
<br />missionar D, M1t. Rey and carried, the order introduced and passed on
<br />et reading on September 6, 1455 entitled: "ORDER AOTAORIZING a~`34.000
<br />OOL BUILDING BONDS", was read a second time and placed upon Sts final
<br />saga. The Vote upon the final passage of said order was:
<br />Ayes: Commissioners R. J. M. Hobbs, Edwin S. Lanier, D. M. Ray
<br />Renry S, Walker.
<br />No as: None
<br />The Chairman then announced that the order entitled: "ORDE7i ADTAORIZING
<br />.,000 SCHOOL BUILDING BONDS" had passed.
<br />The Clerk was thereupon directed to publish said order 1n The Newe of
<br />nge County, once Sn each of two successive weeks, and to publish at the
<br />t of said order the appended note as required by The County Finance Act,
<br />amended.
<br />Upon motion of Convaisa loner Lanier, seconded by Con®issloner Aey, and
<br />nanimous ly passed, Mr. Don idatheson, one of the twenty-eight persona
<br />fficially named by this Board on September b, 1955, to membership on the
<br />range County Agricultural and Industrial Development Commission, ba requested
<br />y this Hoard to call the members of the Commission Snto ass slop for the purpose
<br />f organSzln¢ and getting underway with its work, Sn accordance with the
<br />rovi si ons of the May 2, 1455. Aes olution of this Hoard establishing the
<br />ommisslon.
<br />Upon motion of Commissioner Walker, seconded by Comml scion er Lnnler,
<br />unanimously passed, the Accountant was authoriz ad to c¢sh 1n the government
<br />s which have begun due and sell other bo nda that are about to come due.
<br />Upon motion of Commisa loner Rey, seconded b9 Commissioner Walker, and
<br />imousl9 Passed, S. M. Gatos was named Taz Supervisor for a term beginning
<br />1, 1455. and ending on June 30, 1957,
<br />Upon motion of Commissioner Lanier, seconded by Commissioner Aay, the
<br />ing was ad,j Darned.
