ORANGE COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br />Meeting Date: April 18, 2006 <br />Action Agenda <br />Item No. 9-.~.' - ~ <br />SUBJECT: Inter-Faith Council-Appointments <br />DEPARTMENT: Board of Commissioners PUBLIC HEARING: (Y/N) No <br />ATTACHMENT(S): tinder Separate Cover INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />IFC Petition Clerk's Office, 245-2130 <br />PURPOSE: To consider making appointments to Inter-Faith Council's work groups. <br />BACKGROUND: Pursuant to a discussion that took place at the March 30, 2006 Assembly of <br />Governments meting, the IFC is requesting that Orange County appoint one elected official and one <br />staff member to participate in two work groups that will be convened by IFC. <br />The Men's Residential Facility Wark Group will be charged with securing a site and funding for a <br />comprehensive men's residential facility. <br />The Comprehensive Service Center Work Group will identify the appropriate facility/site to house IFC <br />Food Pantry/Kitchen, Crisis Intervention/Case Management and Administrative Offices. <br />Men's Residential Facility Work Group 1 Elected Official <br /> 1 Staff <br />Comprehensive Service Center Wark Group 1 Elected Official <br /> 1 Staff <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making appointments of one elected official and one staff person <br />to be a part of IFC work groups. <br />
