DocuSign Envelope ID:A0B1 EB25-DA83-4024-9927-D69B64746F70 <br /> Quilt', 2013 State Folk life Festival's exhibition, North Carolina Textiles: The Fabric of a <br /> State at the ArtsCenter and "Memory Bubbles', a visual scavenger hunt as part of <br /> Windows on Chapel Hill. <br /> She is experienced working with youth in the area as she was awarded the Chapel Hill <br /> Artist Residency working with art students at East Chapel Hill high school creating a <br /> permanent 3-D installation. She has worked with youth involved in the Durham Art <br /> Guild's Creative Mentorship Program that partners with 'Student U' and taught privately <br /> for over 20 years. <br /> For the 2016-17 school year, she was been awarded an artist in residence in 3 high <br /> schools in Cary. She worked with the art students facilitating their knowledge of the <br /> evolving face of Public Art creating large scaled installations encompassing several calls <br /> to action for positive change in.The work included non-arts students, faculty, and <br /> administration throughout the process, creating interdisciplinary opportunities for <br /> cooperative based learning and project implementation. Additionally, Floraffiti was <br /> implemented at Cary High School as a collaborative and interdisciplinary learning <br /> opportunity culminating in off campus performances during Cary's Spring Daze Arts <br /> Festival. <br /> Carter is an experienced curator having planned and executed her largest project to <br /> date, a 35-person exhibition in Raleigh, NC in a vacant manufacturing facility. It <br /> encompassed video, installation, 3-D sculpture, interactive installations, and 2-D media. <br /> And lastly, she has successfully created award winning large scaled installations in the <br /> Scrapel Hill Show at University Mall and commission for Duke University. <br /> In all of the above functions and through her administrative positions in several arts <br /> festivals in the Triangle and Portland, Carter has developed strong writing skills for <br /> grant, press release, and blog writing with a fluid knowledge of how and where to <br /> disseminate this information inclusive of all social media platforms. Strong are her <br /> abilities to organize and adapt with changes as they occur from any location, and her <br /> ability to communicate with youth and adults in all capacities relevant to this project. <br />
