While there is slight income from our Ceramic Classes and event vendor fees, these <br /> income amounts are not reflected in the yearly departmental budget, rather are absorbed within the <br /> overall Town budgeted income. VVhille that income may be reflected in the yearly departmental <br /> allocation (this is especially true for ceramic instructor and supply expenses), it doesn't show up as <br /> separate income In the division or departmental budget. <br /> Yearly allocation are primarily biased on the previous year's budget and adjusted for increases in salaries, <br /> benefits, insurance, etc. Year-end surpluses are mainly due to lapsed position salaries/benefits or one <br /> time programmatic increases due to grants, <br /> Public & Cultural Arts merged with Events in 2012 to create the Cultural Arts Division. Some program <br /> costs and staff costs associated with those programs may not specifically he art related, but aspects of <br /> all the divisions programs have cultural arts components, <br />
