The petitions and responses are listed below: <br /> 1) Review and consider a request by a resident regarding the County crafting a consistent policy for <br /> authorizing the serving of alcohol on public property. <br /> Response: Staff to consult with towns and petitioner, investigate policies/practices from other <br /> jurisdictions and provide feedback to the Board. <br /> 2) Review and consider a request by Mr. Tippens that the Board review the Tippens tax matter to provide <br /> 8 years of refunds to Ms. Tippens. <br /> Response: Staff to provide information to the Manager. <br /> 3) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Marcoplos that the Board consider funding a Street <br /> Outreach Coordinator through the Social Justice Fund. <br /> Response: Staff to consult with Town partners and Corey Root, develop information, cost, and other <br /> background, and provide information to the Board. <br /> 4) Review and consider a request by Commissioners Marcoplos and Jacobs that a presentation of the <br /> formation and history of the Rural Buffer and the Joint Planning Agreement be included as an agenda <br /> item for the November 2017 Assembly of Governments meeting. <br /> Response:Presentation to be made to BOCC and/or at community meeting; Chair to consult with <br /> Commissioners Marcoplos and Jacobs about possible presentations to town boards; Rural Buffer <br /> section to be added to County website. <br /> 5) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Price that the Board schedule a time to publicly <br /> receive the Solar Smart Award received at the NACo Conference. <br /> Response: Staff to schedule the award presentation after physically receiving the award. <br /> 6) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Jacobs that the County pursue the installation of <br /> "Rural Buffer" signage at appropriate locations. <br /> Response: Staff to investigate signage requirements and review possible sign design contest to increase <br /> community engagement and education (see itme#4 above). <br />
