2 <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Funding for rental subsidies for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher <br />Program is provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The annual <br />budget for these subsidies is approximately $4,164,334. Funding for the Section 8 Program <br />has not increased over the last two years nor has there been an opportunity to receive available <br />vouchers from other local housing authorities. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board conduct a public hearing <br />and approve submission of the Annual Public Housing Agency (PHA) Plan for the Orange <br />County Housing Authority and authorize the Chair to sign the Certification of Compliance/Board <br />Resolution on behalf of the Board. <br />
