3 <br /> 2016-17. The Arts Commission would like to award the grant to a new recipient in FY <br /> 2017-18. <br /> 4. The Arts Commission division of the County Manager's Office received notification from <br /> the North Carolina Arts Council of additional revenue of $6,583 to support NCArts <br /> Council Grassroots Arts Program in Orange County. <br /> This budget amendment provides for a fund balance appropriation of $1,000 from the <br /> Visitors Bureau Fund and provides for the receipt of the additional State funds. (See <br /> Attachment 1, columns 3 and 4) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact <br /> associated with these items. <br /> Department of Environment, Agriculture, Parks and Recreation <br /> 5. The Department of Environment, Agriculture, Parks and Recreation (DEAPR) has: <br /> Deferred revenue/in-flows for the following programs: <br /> • NC Matching Grant - As of June 30, 2017, the department collected $ 3,671 for <br /> the Soil and Water division's NC Matching Grant; funds were earmarked as <br /> deferred revenue/in-flows, for use in FY 2017-18. Matching funds are used for <br /> office and educational supplies, staff training and certification costs and award <br /> sponsorship. <br /> • Little River Park Donations — As of June 30, 2017, the department had received <br /> Little River Park donations of $14,407; these funds were earmarked as deferred <br /> revenue/in-flows, for use in FY 2017-18. <br /> Received additional donations for the following: <br /> • Recreation Reception - $3,500 from Strawbridge Studio, for reception counter <br /> and furnishings at Central Recreation Center <br /> • Arbor Day Event— $75 from New Hope Elementary School event attendees <br /> • Blackwood Farm Park - $200 from Girl Scout Camp <br /> This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds. (See <br /> Attachment 1, column 5) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact <br /> associated with this item. <br /> Department on Aging <br /> 6. The Department on Aging has deferred revenue/in-flows for the Master Aging Plan <br /> Initiatives (MAP). As of June 30, 2017, $99,880 from the Carol Woods Community <br /> Donation was earmarked as deferred revenue/in-flows, for use in FY 2017-18. <br /> 7. The Department on Aging has received additional revenue for the following programs: <br /> • Health Promotion Activities — receipt of an additional $3,282 from the Triangle J <br /> Council of Governments (TJCOG) for evidence-based health promotion activities. <br />
