As part of the HAC's efforts to reorganize and streamline operations, program committees have <br /> developed written procedures enabling continuity and coordination from year to year. <br /> • Hillsborough Arts Council Gallery and Gift Shop provides a consistent venue for the works of local artists <br /> and features monthly exhibits featuring artists from throughout the region. <br /> • Last Fridays bring visitors and locals to downtown Hillsborough to patronize the businesses and restaurants. <br /> It also brings our diverse communities of non-profits, po|idciano, artista, community representatives and <br /> citizens together to share information about their events and purposes, generating discussion and <br /> collaboration. <br /> • Last Fridays Art Walks brings visitors and locals on a walking tour of Hillsborough's diverse arts and crafts <br /> venues, encouraging sales. <br /> • Hillsborough Handmade Parade and Solstice Lantern Walk bring people together in workshops to create <br /> their costumes, puppets, lanterns, and to participate together in peaceful,joyful ortiaticpenadea. It brings visitors and locals downtown to patronize the <br /> businesses and restaurants. <br /> • Free Spirit Freedom is a program celebrating the diversity of Orange County's historic past and future <br /> through photography and narrative. It provides opportunities for citizens to learn about and discuss African <br /> American contributions to Hillsborough. <br /> • Art Cycle encourages citizens to contribute new and used supplies to students in school art classes and lets <br /> students experience the benefits of those contributions to their art. <br /> • New Afterschool Art Program will bring our diverse student populations together, working on p jects to be <br /> presented in Hillsborough. <br />
