The Orange (.1"ounty Arts Commission determined <br /> that we would be obliged toforego the grant in last year's granting cycle. 'rhis request is for the <br /> same protect, now rescheduled and in pre-production for a,September 2017 opening, <br /> Organizational Prortle: StreetSigns is a not-for-profit, independent, theatre Organization devoted <br /> to the development of new work. Founded in Chicago in 1992 and moved to North ("arolina In <br /> 2000, Street Signs has presented more than fifty productions in its tweaty-PILIS Year history. <br /> StreetSigns is dedicated to the development and presentation of new literary adaptations, <br /> company-created theatrical works, innovative new plays, and bold re-imaginings of classics, An, <br /> award-winning professional performing arts and educational center, Street Signs is committed to <br /> celebrating our region's rich oral and written traditions, and to engaging cultural and political <br /> issues through perforrnancc. <br /> Our board members are Elisabetli'Lewis Corley, Mende Alexander Craft, Derek (joldnian, John <br /> McGowan, Joseph Mleget, and Mike Wiley.
