K4r. W1i||erhosbeendocumentingOn*nge
County's public arts projects and artists as part of his role as The Arts Center's blog writer.The NC
Arts Cast would expand the focus of Mr. Miller's reporting beyond the boundaries of The Arts Center,
allowing for more travel to locations throughout Orange County and the state,as well as providing a
platform for more widely distributed, monthly content. I am happy to recommend Mr. Miller based on
his knowledge of and personal involvement in Orange County's arts community, his work at The
Arts Center, and his desire to help bring greater attention to both specific arts projects and to questions
of how the arts shape our concept of place and identity in our county.
While the NC Arts Cast project is not part of The Arts Center's budget or its official programming,The
Arts Center would partner with Mr. Miller, providing promotion and marketing assistance. In addition,
our established network of artists and arts organizations will serve as a springboard for some of the NC
ArtsCast's own reporting and storytelling as the podcast details the many arts projects and relationships
that make up Orange County's arts ecosystem.
Sincerely,
Daniel May:.
--_------- ; // ~~
v / /
Executive Director
300-0-East Main Btroet alrz{orm,DJO 2°7'518 I P 919.929.278'7 F 919.968.8574 I vnwvnartaoeuberlivo.org
