Evaluation <br /> To best serve the needs of North Carolina students, the Symphony's Education Committee and Director <br /> of Education work closely with professional evaluators and the NCDPI to continually assess the <br /> effectiveness and impact of all its music education programs through quantitative and qualitative data <br /> analysis. The Symphony examines the number of counties served, and collects qualitative feedback from <br /> teachers through surveys and inKlepth evaluations.Teachers evaluations address the following areas: <br /> the suitability of the program for the Intended grade level; the students' understanding of music <br /> following the program; the value of the curriculum materials; the overall quality of the performance:, <br /> and the students" level of participation, The Symphony continually assesses how its programs can best <br /> meet the needs of North Carolina teachers and students and uses this evaluative information to shape <br /> the structure and content of its educational programming for the following year. <br /> The Symphony evaluates the progress of its education programs by tracking and assessing the following <br /> areas: <br /> 1. Number of participating schools and students at each education concert <br /> 2. Number of teachers who attend the annual fall Teacher Workshop m Raleigh <br /> 3. Number of teachers and schools that renew their participation in the education programs <br /> 4.
