<br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION <br />FOR THE RETII2ED SENIOR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM (RSVP) <br />BE TI' RESOLVED by the Commissioners of Orange County that the Commissioners <br />authorize the County Manager to submit an application to the Corporation for National <br />and Community Service fora $180,753 three-year grant ($60,251/year) for continuation <br />of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program for thirty-six months and to certify to the <br />federal government the willingness of the County to assure a minimum of 30% in cash, <br />goods, and services as the non-federal share in support of the program. Funding will <br />continue to be reviewed and approved on an annual basis as part of the Orange County <br />Budget Process and the RSVP will operate under cone-year budget. Budget revisions <br />will be submitted to the Federal Sponsor at the end of the first and second years. <br />It is understood that Orange County is not locked into a commitment for three years if it <br />is decided by Orange County officials to discontinue support of the Orange County <br />RSVP. The program can be terminated at anytime based on the Corporation for National <br />and Community Service Handbook guidelines providing the required advance notice. <br />This is the Eighteenth day of April, 2006. <br />PAGE 2 <br />
