2 <br />federal action and on performance by the County., The total anticipated amount of funding as of <br />July 1, 2006 represents less than 8% of the overall Health Department budget. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: The state consolidated agreement is anticipated to provide $465,808 <br />federal and state dollars to the County to provide specific services for fiscal year 2006-2007. <br />This includes the 15% reduction in public health preparedness funds ($10,221) that is <br />anticipated. An additional reduction of $24,461 in health promotion is dependent on the federal <br />budgeting process but has not been confirmed as being cut. The total amount funded <br />represents less than 8% of the overall Health Department budget, <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board <br />• approve the agreement and authorize the Chair to sign the agreements and assurances <br />pending final review by staff and the County Attorney; <br />• earmark funds from the social safety net should federal funding cuts in health <br />preparedness and health promotion funding occur. <br />
