for the April 20, 2006 budget/capital work session. At that point, the BOCC can begin to make
decisions and act on the County portion of the CIP.
The recommended ten-year CIPs far both school systems are tentatively scheduled for
presentation at the Board's regular meeting on May 16, 2006, with review of school capital
projects to take place during the June 2006 budget work sessions.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: As outlined in the recommended Capital Investment Plan. Projects in
the CIP include not only those to be funded with pay-as-you-go revenue such as sales tax
proceeds, but also those funded with already-issued or otherwise programmed debt. Projects
that may be partially or completely unfunded at this time may be addressed through future debt
issuance such as general obligation bonds, certificates of participation, or private placement
loans.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board receive the
recommended Ccunty 2006-16 CIP for information only at this time, with BQCC discussion of
individual projects to take place at the Board's work session on April 20, 2006.
