FY 2017-18 Fire District Tax Rates, Pg. 355 <br /> Travis Myren made the following PowerPoint presentation, and facilitated discussion <br /> between the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) and the Fire Districts: <br /> Budget Work Session #2 <br /> County Fire Districts <br /> Public Safety <br /> General Government <br /> Support Services <br /> June 8, 2017 <br /> Southern Human Services Center <br /> Fire District Recommendations (chart) <br /> Fire District Recommendations <br /> • Revenue neutral rates used as a point of comparison <br /> • District requests <br /> o Cedar Grove - <br /> — One cent increase for replacement fire engine at Station #2 <br /> o Damascus & Southern Triangle <br /> — Contract with North Chatham Fire Department for fire protection <br /> — Agreement provides for consistent tax rate between the two <br /> counties <br /> — Increases of 0.09 cents in Damascus and 0.34 cents in Southern <br /> Triangle to 10.30 cents in both Districts <br /> o Eno <br /> — One cent increase for tanker replacement and Station #1 <br /> renovation which included a garage building <br /> o Little River <br />
