<br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL TO INITIATE <br />DISCUSSIONS WITH ELECTED OFFICIALS FROM CARRBORO AND ORANGE <br />COUNTY REGARDING A SMALL AREA PLAN PROCESS FOR THE ROGERS ROAD <br />NEIGHBORHOOD, INCLUDING THE GREENE TRACT (2006-O1-23/R-9) <br />WHEREAS, Carrboro, Chapel Hill, and Orange County each have an interest in the ,jointly <br />owned 164-acre Green Tract as well as the larger Rogers Road community; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council wishes to initiate a Small Area Plan process for the multi-jurisdictional <br />Rogers Road neighborhood including the,jointly owned Greene Tract; and <br />WHEREAS, the Rogers Road neighborhood is situated within Chapel Hill, Carrboro and Orange <br />County ,jurisdictions; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the <br />Council appoints Council Members Mark Kleinschmidt and Bill Sirom to initiate discussions <br />with elected officials from Cazrboro and Orange County regarding a Small Area Plan process for <br />the Rogers Road neighborhood, including the Greene Tract. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council requests that the Cazrbaro Board of Aldermen <br />and Orange County Boazd of Conrrnissioners appoint representatives for the purpose. <br />Tlus the 2:3`d day of.lanuazy, 2006 <br />Amended 1-1.3-06 atlz <br />
