Postdoctoral Duke University(organic chemistry) <br /> It s troubled me that I ve only been summoned for jury duty once since 1986(at which time I was <br /> not needed and momentarily not registered as Libertarian), and that to my knowledge no other <br /> registered members of the NC-recognized Libertarian Party have ever been called for jury duty. <br /> My impression is that Libertarian Party members have been systematically excluded from the <br /> jury pool. <br /> Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br /> To ensure that all OC residents are accorded equal opportunity to serve on juries, irrespective of <br /> race, gender, sexual orientation, political affiliation, or any other irrelevant label. <br />
