Year-To-Date Budget <br /> Summary <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget and grant project ordinance amendments for fiscal year 2017- <br /> 18. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Health Department —Technical Amendment <br /> 1. The Health Department has identified an error in its approved FY2017-18 departmental <br /> budget. In the "Speech & Hearing" project within the Personal Health division, the <br /> revenue account "State Revenue" is erroneously categorized as a Charge for Service. <br /> This revenue account should be categorized as Intergovernmental revenue. This <br /> technical amendment rectifies this error and places the budgeted revenues ($77,597) into <br /> the correct category. <br /> This budget amendment corrects the category error in FY 2017-18. (See Attachment 1, <br /> column 1) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact <br /> associated with these items. <br /> Health Department <br /> 2. The Health Department has received deferred and additional revenue for the following <br /> programs: <br /> • Donations — as of June 30, 2017, the department collected $8,572 in donations <br /> from the Olin T. Binkley Memorial Baptist Church; funds were earmarked as <br />
