NOTICE OF JOINT PLANNING PUBLIC HEARING <br />Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />Chapel Hill Town Council <br />A public hearing will be held in the Southern Human Services Center, 2501 <br />Homestead Road, Chapel Hill, North Carolina on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at 7:30 <br />P.M. for the purpose of giving all interested citizens an opportunity to speak for or <br />against the following item: <br />1. Chapel Hill Joint Planning Area Transition Area Zoning Atlas Amendment <br />Purpose: To hear public comment on a proposed rezoning of 10,431 square feet <br />of property on the east of Rogers Road and south of Zieger Lane within the <br />Chapel Hill portion of the .Joint Planning Transition Area. The rezoning proposal, <br />requested by Habitat for Humanity of Orange County, is to increase the land area <br />of Lot 3 Rusch Hollow from 5,045 square feet to 15,477 square feet by adding <br />adjacent lands, <br />Other lands have previously been rezoned to accommodate a Habitat for <br />Humanity project of over 12 lots and this rezoning is intended to accommodate a <br />planned triplex. <br />Action: Zoning Atlas Amendment <br />From: Residential-1 <br />To: Residential-Special Standards-Conditional (R-SS-C) <br />Size: 10,431 square feet <br />Location: Between Zieger Lane and Rusch Road <br />Identification: Chapel Hill Township, Tax Map 23, Block D, Lot 17 <br />The amendment requires the approval of the Orange County Commissioners <br />and Chapel Hill Town Council. <br />Questions regarding the proposal should be directed to the Chapel Hill Planning <br />Department at 968-2728.
