■ Proposed Outputs and Outcome Tracking
• Meetings with all top 5 businesses as well as Durham Tech's
Orange County Campus and UNC Health Care - Hillsborough
Campus.
• Meetings or calls with all top 10 businesses
o 5.6.a Ensure students are aware of and encouraged to use TDM services
during peak hours. -The Orange County TDM Coordinator will establish
contact with the Durham Tech Orange County Campus in Hillsborough to reach
out to students to inform and encourage the use of alternative commute modes.
■ Proposed Outputs and Outcome Tracking
• Outreach to Durham Tech quarterly to update their information on
TDM services for their students and track participation.
Top Task#5: Monitoring, Reporting, and Process Improvement
Description—The Orange County TDM Coordinator will evaluate the effectiveness of
their output and track all measurable outcomes of their activities. Given the critical role of
tracking and reporting program performance to justify the OCCO Program as well as the
Triangle TDM Program overall, the Orange County TDM Coordinator will make this a
Top Task. They will also take time to participate in making improvements to regional
TDM services, and critically assess their own programs, using the data they collect to
make process improvements.
At the end of each quarter, the Orange County TDM Coordinator will submit a quarterly
report, which should include tracking data on program participation and the estimated
impact of marketing and promotional campaigns within that quarter. Tracking
measurable indicators of TDM program success will improve future campaigns and
programs. The Orange County Commuter Benefits Webpage and STRNC for example
have easily trackable data, which could give further insight into the interests of Orange
County employers and employees. The quarterly reports are also a way of furthering the
OCCO Program's priority to provide feedback to GoTriangle to improve processes.
Related Activities from Revised 7-Year Plan
o All activities have a measurable component and will be tracked and
reported on to measure program performance and achieve process
improvement.
Triangle J
Council of Governments 18
