Related Activities from Revised 7-Year Plan <br /> • .4.2.f Develop and disseminate outreach materials about the success of the <br /> TDM program. - The Orange County TDM Coordinator will collect data on the <br /> importance of TDM efforts and the impacts of the Triangle TDM program in Top <br /> Task#3. They will then use that data to highlight the importance of TDM for <br /> partners, elected officials and transportation planning entities. <br /> ■ Proposed Outputs and Outcome Tracking <br /> • 4 meetings with transportation planning entities <br /> • 4.5.c Develop and customize outreach materials for government decision <br /> makers. -The Orange County TDM Coordinator will develop outreach materials <br /> and presentations tailored to the Board of Orange County Commissioners <br /> (BOCC) under Top Task#3 and will deliver them as part of their Public Relations <br /> work. They will leverage existing opportunities to interact with the Board, such as <br /> the annual Orange County Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> update. Specifically for Q1, the Coordinator will focus on publicizing alternatives <br /> to driving alone during the extensive construction project along the main <br /> thoroughfare in downtown Hillsborough, Churton Street (NC 86). The Orange <br /> County TDM Coordinator will also serve as an ongoing point of contact and <br /> source of commuter information for the BOCC and any other Orange County <br /> local government official. <br /> ■ Proposed Outputs and Outcome Tracking <br /> • 4 meetings with elected officials <br /> ■ Close collaboration with Town of Hillsborough project managers <br /> on Churton Street construction project. <br /> o Weekly communications to commuters and local <br /> businesses impacted by construction <br /> o 4.5.d Develop and customize outreach materials for business decision <br /> makers. —The Orange County TDM Coordinator will establish relationships with <br /> the Hillsborough /Orange County Chamber of Commerce and other partners and <br /> leverage their knowledge and established business connections to create useful <br /> and relevant TDM materials for the local business community. They will use <br /> outreach materials and presentations tailored to the Hillsborough business <br /> community under Task#3. <br /> ■ Proposed Outputs and Outcome Tracking <br /> ■ Regular meetings established with Chamber of Commerce by end <br /> - of Q3. <br /> ■ Meetings with all top 5 businesses as well as Durham Tech's <br /> Orange County Campus and UNC Health Care- Hillsborough <br /> Campus <br /> o 5.2.c Conduct individualized employer outreach to targeted employers. - <br /> The Orange County TDM Coordinator will establish a list of the top five <br /> employers in Hillsborough and will establish relationships with them that will allow <br /> for direct or indirect communication with their employees.
