o 4.2.d Develop marketing campaigns that increase public awareness of TDM <br /> programs and their benefits. -The Orange County TDM Coordinator will create <br /> marketing materials and content to use in all promotional activities in Top Taskq <br /> #1 and#2. They will work in collaboration with GoTriangle leverage the <br /> experience of other TDM Coordinators to customize and amplify existing <br /> marketing campaigns for Hillsborough employers and Orange County <br /> employees. In the creation of materials specific to Durham Tech's Orange <br /> County Campus and UNC Health Care - Hillsborough Campus The TDM <br /> coordinator will coordinate messaging with the TDM Coordinators for Wake <br /> Technical Community College and for UNC-Chapel Hill. The TDM Coordinator <br /> will assist with marketing the new fixed route transit service offered by Orange <br /> Public Transportation and provide additional staff support to establish and market <br /> the subsidized bus pass program. This task also includes marketing and <br /> administrative activities for the Orange County Telework program including <br /> supporting the online Telework training and clarifying the registration process. <br /> ■ Proposed Outputs and Outcome Tracking <br /> ■ Information on new routes will be delivered to 10 employers and <br /> all County departments by end of Q2. <br /> • Ridership will increase rapidly on new routes, reaching a steady- <br /> state by Q2. <br /> ■ Ridership will increase 5% from baseline on existing routes <br /> o 4.2.f Develop and disseminate outreach materials about the success of the <br /> TDM Program. - The Orange County TDM Coordinator will collect data on the <br /> importance of TDM efforts and the impacts of the Triangle TDM program in <br /> Orange County. They will then use that data to create and distribute persuasive <br /> and authoritative messaging about the benefits of TDM for commuters. <br /> Proposed Outputs and Outcome Tracking <br /> ■ In Q1 a marketing piece will be created and delivered to the Board <br /> of Orange County Commissioners and all project stakeholders on <br /> the importance of TDM and the past impacts of the Triangle TDM <br /> program. <br /> ■ Other marketing materials refer to data on program importance <br /> and impact <br /> o 4.2.j Promote Regional Bike to Work Month. -The Orange County TDM <br /> Coordinator will create marketing plans to extend the reach of unified regional <br /> Bike to Work Month campaign, leveraging ongoing efforts by the Sustainability <br /> Program and the Planning and Inspections department to catalog, map, and <br /> improve County bicycle infrastructure. The TDM Coordinator will customize <br /> regional bicycle commute marketing materials, and create their own as <br /> necessary. <br /> ■ Proposed Outputs and Outcome Tracking <br /> ■ Materials will be created or customized to support this effort <br /> o 4.3.b Seek placements in traditional media (TV, print, radio) for current <br /> events and/or feature stories. - The Orange County TDM Coordinator will <br /> collaborate with County Public Relations staff to seek appropriate placements in <br /> local news media such as the News of Orange, Chapel Hill News, and the <br /> Triangle Business Journal. (as these media outlets serve the targeted areas of <br /> Triangle J <br /> Council of Governments <br /> 14 <br />
