This is the distribution of either pre-existing content or content
that was created as part of the marketing work of Top Task#3.
During the FY18 Triangle TDM Kickoff Meetings, LSPs were encouraged to continue
promoting ongoing regional TDM programming such as ShareTheRideNC and Best
Workplaces for Commuters (BWC). As a critical first step in promoting the BWC
program, Orange County will seek designation for itself in FY18. Similar to the work in
Top Task#1, OCCO Program will customize existing regional marketing content and
promote participation in these ongoing programs by Orange County staff and
Hillsborough employers. Promotional activities such as distributing materials and
answering questions will take place on an ongoing basis throughout the year, but to
ensure that each ongoing program receives focused attention there will be an informal
promotional drive for each ongoing program every other month. During these drives, the
OCCO Program will focus their messaging more strongly on the highlighted program.
One particular focus area will be the promotion of Telework among Orange County staff
and Hillsborough businesses in Q3 and Q4, with the aid of the ongoing Orange County
Telework Program and the new regional Telework Toolkit created by TJCOG.
An OCCO website and social media platforms as well as marketing plans for these
promotional efforts will be created or updated two months in advance of implementation
as part of Top Task#3. Process improvement feedback will be provided on an ongoing
basis and by request for this process under Top Task#5.
Related Activities from Revised 7-Year Plan
o 3.5.b Support and market ERH services to existing and prospective patron
companies. -The Orange County TDM Coordinator will reach out to the major
employers in Hillsborough and to Orange County staff to explain and promote the,
Triangle J
Council of Governments 11
