County Sustainability Coordinator has delivered telework training for more than 75 County staff
across 5 sessions, and will be moving the training to an online format.
The County Sustainability Program and Human Resources are also working with Orange Public
Transportation(OPT) to follow through on another BOCC petition to identify a way to provide
free or subsidized bus fares for County staff. OPT Staff has reached out to GoTriangle and has
identified a way forward that may involve integrating their operations into the GoTriangle family
of services. Funding has been secured to upgrade fare-reading equipment to match that of
other GoTriangle transit providers. Once complete, this should allow County staff.access to the
regional GoPass program to serve as their subsidized fare card and it will also increase the
convenience of non-County employees to ride Orange Public Transportation buses and connect
with other regional bus routes.
WORKPLAN:DETAILED TASKS&ACTIVITIES
Top Tasks: Include a detailed description of each task below. Include references to the
Activities from the Revised 7-Year Plan (see Attachment A) that each task helps implement.
(Please use the Activity numbering from Attachment A, not the original 7-Year Plan.)
The five Top Tasks below describe the categories of activities that will be completed under the
OCCO Program workplan. They were created following the guidance of NCDOT and the MPO
TDM program descriptions. The activities listed under each Top Task come from the 7-Year
Plan Revised Table of Activities. The outputs and outcome tracking methods listed are
proposed as starting points for the Orange County TDM Coordinator, though they will
undoubtedly be refined in relevance and scope.during the first year of the OCCO Program. The
following five top tasks for FY18 and their associated activities are each described in turn below:
I. Promotion of Quarterly Regional Campaigns
2. Promotion of Ongoing Regional and Local Programming
3. Marketing and Administration
4. PublicRelations
5. Monitoring, Reporting, and Process Improvement
Top Task#1: Promotion of Quarterly Regional Campaigns
Description— Promotional activities in this Top Task focus on distributing materials and
messaging related to the regional campaigns. This is the distribution of either pre-
existing content or content that was created as part of the marketing work of Top Task
#3.
During the FY18 Triangle TDM Kickoff Meetings, it was decided that GoTriangle's
Regional TDM team would focus their efforts on creating one marketing campaign per
quarter and that the local service providers (LSPs) would focus their promotional efforts
on implementing those campaigns locally.
Triangle J
Council of Governments 8
