4 <br /> The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race or <br /> color; religious or philosophical beliefs; sex, gender or sexual orientation; <br /> national origin or ethnic background; age; military service; disability; and familial, <br /> residential or economic status. <br /> All of the additional funding available to the Department on Aging supports the <br /> maintenance/expansion of its programs and services. While available to all Orange <br /> County residents age 60 years and older, the target population for these services is those <br /> residents in greatest social and economic need. <br /> Department of Social Services <br /> 5. The Department of Social Services (DSS) anticipates receipt of State pass-through <br /> funds, totaling $12,246 for two Juvenile Crime Prevention Council Agencies, <br /> Boomerang and Teen Court. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of the <br /> additional State pass-through funds. (See Attachment 1, column 5) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goals are <br /> applicable to this agenda item: <br /> • GOAL: CREATE A SAFE COMMUNITY <br /> The reduction of risks from vehicle/traffic accidents, childhood and senior injuries, <br /> gang activity, substance abuse and domestic violence. <br /> Sheriff's Office <br /> 6. The Sheriffs Office has received notification of the receipt of a Governor's Crime <br /> Commission grant award in the amount of $17,347. Funds will be used to purchase <br /> radar equipment. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of this grant for the <br /> above mentioned purpose. (See Attachment 1, column 6) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this agenda item: <br /> • GOAL: CREATE A SAFE COMMUNITY <br /> The reduction of risks from vehicle/traffic accidents, childhood and senior injuries, <br /> gang activity, substance abuse and domestic violence. <br /> Asset Management Services <br /> 7. Orange County has received a donation of $5,911 from The Preservation Fund of <br /> Hillsborough to be used for exterior restoration repairs at the historic Cadwallader <br /> Jones Law Office. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of this donation <br /> for the above stated purpose. (See Attachment 1, column 7) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact <br /> associated with this agenda item. <br /> Housing, Human Rights, and Community Development <br />
