The successful bidder shall compt fully with the requirements of General Statutes, Section <br /> 143-129, as amended. <br /> 4. In the event of default by any co ractor or vendor Orange County may procure from other <br /> sources whatever service or item being bidded and hold the contractor responsible for any <br /> excess cost occasioned thereby. <br /> 5. Payment by check is due thirty daysl.fter completion and inspection unless otherwise specifically <br /> provided; subject to any discounts .fiowed. <br /> 6. North Carolina sales and use tax s all not be included in the bid amount. <br /> 7. Bids submitted via facsimile shall b - accepted. <br /> 8. Proposals received after opening d ;te and time shall not be considered. <br /> 9. Worker's Compensation Insuranc:, -Worker's Compensation insurance as required by law for all <br /> of the Contractor's employees. T Ile Contractor shall also require his subcontractors to provide <br /> Worker's Compensation for all oft e latter's employees, unless the Contractor affords protection <br /> to such employees. <br />
