Margaret Lane
Hillsborough, NC 27278
Re: Design Services Proposal
Feasibility Study for PSAP Design/Hardening
Dear Jeff,
Thank you for allowing Stewart-Cooper-Newell Architects to assist the County over
the past couple of years in the EMS Public Safety Project. We appreciate the
opportunity and trust that the information provided will continue to prove helpful to
the County for years to come. I have enjoyed talking with you over the last few
months regarding the planning for the County 911 Call Center. We appreciate the
trust placed in Stewart-Cooper-Newell to assist you and the County.
The scope of design work currently being requested is a Feasibility Study that
investigates converting an approximately 1,200 square foot locker room on the
bottom floor of an existing building, into a hardened 911 Call Center.
Per our discussion and your request, we are providing this proposal for
architectural services as follows:
Programming / Facility Assessment / Conceptual Layout / Cost Projections
• Meet with the appropriate County staff to tour the current 911 Call
Center, tour the facility to be converted, and develop the Program
needs for the PSAP.
• Perform a facility assessment of the facility to be converted, including
architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire
protection evaluations.
• Develop conceptual options for accommodating the PSAP in the 1,200
SF existing space with the required systems and elements
programmed.
• Provide pros and cons for options; along with associated costs, to the
county for meeting the current and long term space and functional
needs of the call center.
architecture James C.Stewart,AIA I Kenneth C.
