DocuSign Envelope ID: 101CF641-1982-4D1B-B573-6722F6C92307 <br /> STATEMENT OF WORK <br /> Flinchum Sales Tax Consulting (FLINCHUM) shall serve as a consultant to Orange County, North Carolina <br /> (the COUNTY)to determine if the COUNTY is due additional sales or excise tax refunds for the period <br /> July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2017. <br /> NORTH CAROLINA SALES AND EXCISE TAX REFUNDS <br /> FLINCHUM will furnish the COUNTY with a written report as to sales and excise tax refunds discovered. <br /> FLINCHUM will then prepare the respective refund claims to receive the refunds and assist with any <br /> related refund verification by the North Carolina Department of Revenue. <br /> FLINCHUM will assist COUNTY contractors and vendors with providing the information needed to <br /> establish proper state and county breakdown schedules. <br /> FLINCHUM will provide written suggestions on means to improve the COUNTY refund process as part of <br /> the fee compensation. <br /> The COUNTY agrees to pay FLINCHUM a fee in accordance with the following FEE SCHEDULE due to <br /> FLINCHUM's amending of refund returns upon the COUNTY'S receipt of documentation from the North <br /> Carolina Department of Revenue evidencing the additional sales or excise tax revenue remitted to the <br /> COUNTY. <br /> The COUNTY will remit FLINCHUM'S fee within 30 days of receipt of the additional sales tax refunds <br /> from the North Carolina Department of Revenue. <br /> FEE SCHEDULE <br /> The FLINCHUM fee will be: <br /> 33%for all additional sales and excise tax refunds received to the COUNTY. <br /> FLINCHUM AGREES TO MAINTAIN IN STRICT CONFIDENCE ALL INFORMATION RECEIVED FROM THE <br /> COUNTY CONCERNING ITS EXPENSES AND METHODS OF DOING BUSINESS. FURTHERMORE, FLINCHUM <br /> ACTS AS A CONSULTANT ONLY AND DOES NOT RECEIVE ANY COMMISSIONS OR RENUMERATION OF <br /> ANY KIND FROM ANY VENDORS OR SERVICE PROVIDERS. <br />
