3 <br /> Attachment 1 - TARPO Agenda Excerpt <br /> TARPO Prioritization Subcommittee Draft Project List for Prioritization 5.0—May 1,2017 <br /> This is the draft list of projects developed by the TARPO Prioritization Subcommittee at their May 1, <br /> 2017 meeting for submittal to NCDOT's Prioritization 5.0 process for funding. This list is being circulated <br /> for review and comment by local jurisdictions and the general public until June 30, 2017, at which time <br /> all received comments will be provided to the TARPO Prioritization Subcommittee for their further <br /> consideration. The TARPO Rural Transportation Advisory Committee (RTAC)will vote on the final list of <br /> projects at its August 10, 2017 meeting. <br /> Please note that in addition to the "new" projects listed below, there are also a few projects that will <br /> automatically carry-forward for consideration from Prioritization 4.0 (which took place in 2015-16). <br /> These carry-over projects are: (1) A130488 and A130489, Raleigh Executive Jetport (Lee County) <br /> corporate hangar apron expansion; (2) H090669,widening US 15-501 between Aberdeen and <br /> Laurinburg; (3) H090296, NC 5 modernization and turn lanes in Aberdeen; (4) H150663, synchronized <br /> street on US 1 in Lee County from US 15-501 to Pendergrass; (5) H150922, Pinehurst Traffic Circle <br /> improvements; and (6) H140374A, NC 54 widening in Orange County from Orange Grove Rd to Old <br /> Fayetteville Rd. <br /> The"new" projects listed below are not shown in any particular order, but are arranged by county to <br /> make the list easier to read. TARPO is limited to submitting a maximum of 22 projects in each mode of <br /> transportation (highway, bicycle/pedestrian, transit, rail, and aviation). <br /> HIGHWAY(22 Projects) <br /> Chatham County <br /> • Interchange at US 64 and NC 751 <br /> • NC 902 modernization (lane width/shoulder/geometry improvements) between US 421 and <br /> Chatham Central High School <br /> • Interchange at US 421 and NC 902 <br /> • Chatham Parkway, from US 15-501 north to US 64 Business. Two lanes on 4-lane right-of-way. <br /> • NC 87 modernization (lane width/shoulder/geometry improvements) between NC 902 and US <br /> 64 Bypass <br /> • Roundabout at S. 2"d Avenue and Fayetteville Avenue in Siler City <br /> • Roundabout at S. Chatham Avenue and Fayetteville Avenue in Siler City <br /> Lee County <br /> • Widen NC 78(Tramway Rd) from US 1 to Lemon Springs Rd <br /> • Widen Wilson Road from Industrial Drive to Horner Blvd <br /> • Realign Kelly Drive at Central Carolina Community College <br /> • Improved access road to airport from Farrell Rd (some on new location), including widening of <br /> Rod Sullivan Rd bridge over CSX railroad <br /> • Improvements at Lee Avenue/Williams St/Fayetteville St, possibly also including Industrial Drive <br /> intersection <br /> • Improvements at US 1& NC 42 (Wicker St) ramps <br /> TARPO Prioritization Subcommittee Draft Project List for Prioritization 5.0—May 1, 2017 1 <br />
