He
would like to see safety personnel well accommodated, prior to the creation of new
programming. He suggested that Durham Tech meet with the fire chiefs to work out a
resolution for safety training.
Matt Williams said he would be glad to sit in on such a meeting to foster the relationship.
Commissioner Price said she received an email complaint, which she forwarded to the
Manager, and she said there seems to be some misunderstanding as to what training Orange
County fire personnel needs.
Bonnie Hammersley said she received the email, forwarded it to Dr. Ingram, and he
responded. She said she will forward Dr. Ingram's response to the Board of County
Commissioners (BOCC).
Commissioner Jacobs thanked Durham Tech for working with the Manager to shelf the
idea of a new building until there have been more discussions related to the Capital Investment
Plan (CIP).
