SCS staff assisted the <br /> County in obtaining a NDPES general permit for stormwater <br /> discharges from the County's landfill property. To obtain the <br /> NPDES permit the stormwater outfalls and possible pollutants <br /> from the property were determined by SCS staff as well as <br /> preparing an outfall and site map drawing. In addition, a permit <br /> application was prepared including a description of the landfill <br /> operations. <br /> Annual Regulatory Landfill Disposal and Airspace Reporting. <br /> Annually SCS provides a topographic survey of the active <br /> portions of the C&D Landfill and calculates the yearly landfill <br /> volume used for waste disposal, waste tonnages, landfill <br /> volume remaining and in-place waste density. SCS takes this <br /> information and provides a reporting documentation to the <br /> County and NCDENR. <br /> In addition to the reporting documentation, SCS provides to the <br /> County expected landfill life based on current and projected <br /> C&D waste disposal tonnages, yearly calculated waste-to-cover <br /> ratios and densities and updates schedule for landfill closure <br /> and construction including corresponding costs. <br /> Project Profile <br />
