Based on our understanding of the RFQ, the <br /> engineering firm(s) selected by the County under this solicitation must possess extensive <br /> knowledge, background, and expertise pertaining to the field of solid waste and sustainable <br /> materials management. The SCS Team has unsurpassed qualifications in solid waste <br /> management,programs, facilities, and infrastructure engineering and consulting as well as a <br /> thorough understanding of County-specific issues, as discussed in the attached qualifications. <br /> The SCS Team has strong qualifications in all aspects of solid waste management and possesses <br /> several unique qualifications, including: <br /> SCS specializes in Solid Waste Engineering and Consulting <br /> Solid waste management engineering and consulting is the core of our business and has <br /> been since the company's inception over 45 years ago. We possess a comprehensive <br /> knowledge covering the entire spectrum of waste industry issues. SCS is a full-service <br /> company and intends to perform almost all of the services in-house. <br /> SCS has experience working for Orange County <br /> SCS has performed task assignments for the County during the past 26 years covering <br /> solid consulting duties related to waste quantification, waste characterization, financial <br /> analysis, and program efficiency. SCS has also become intimately familiar with County <br /> solid waste program operations, recently engaging with County personnel and members <br /> of the Solid Waste Advisory Group (SWAG) through meetings and presentations to <br /> present findings and make recommendations. Our Project Team consists of professional <br /> staff engaged in SCS' work efforts with the County since 1990, and all of these <br /> individuals are employee-owners at SCS, some for their entire career. <br /> Offices Nationwide <br />
