I have <br /> had the pleasure of working with numerous parks and recreation directors and staff,and <br /> advisory hoards such as this to support increased levels of service provided by parks and <br /> recreation departments and engagement and interest by communities. <br /> Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br /> I have been an Orange County resident now for nearly four years and am interested in being <br /> more involved with planning and decision making of my community. I recent move to Chapel Hill <br /> forced my resignation from the Carrboro Environmental Advisory Board. Since that time I have <br /> been seeking an advisory board that relates to my professional and personal interests. I believe <br /> my experience with planning and design of parks and recreation systems has allowed me to <br /> develop an understanding of what a successful parks system looks like,from facilities,to <br />
